Before ascribing the success of mortality reduction to targeted therapies, one should simply ask what % of patients with lung cancer are eligible for, what % of those actually receive and of those what % actually benefit to affect population level rates.
Decrease in mortality from NSCLC "substantial improvement in survival over time that corresponded to the timing of approval of targeted therapy". There is simply NO EXCUSE for not utilizing comprehensive biomarker testing for NSCLC. #hope #researchmatters
