@CaseySeidemanMD @traepend It's very subjective by speciality. EM and surgeons are fine wearing scrubs bit white coats and formal wear seem best in IM for example https://t.co/tLbwj7qFAt
@DRKramerMD @emily_fri Ppl have tried to study this, eg https://t.co/Qd6LW3iyEv Anecdotally, pandemic making dress more casual across the board. Except 1 colleague who wore a 3 pc suit daily, dressed down when we ran a Covid ward together: shirt/pants/tie
@SenecaHarberger @MaxEllithorpe I wore a tuxedo to clinic every day after reading that one article (which I can no longer find), but this systematic review suggests it might not be that big of a deal: https://t.co/KaSj3WXiDz
@Bionobo Euh sachant qu’on a souvent affaire à des personnes âgées s’habiller correctement est une forme de respect pour les patients. Le caractère « républicain » est claqué mais en milieu pro c’est une question de communication non verbale. https://t.co

And just to be clear, in the ER where you have to build rapport with a new patient every 20 minutes, a clean pair of scrubs will do just fine. Some patients may give bonus points for a white coat https://t.co/4ZDtTKbVh6

Surprised no difference in attire preference was seen for women, who I think are unfairly judged more on appearance than men in the hospital. Also, would be interesting to know view on institution-branded jackets over scrubs... #attire #perceptionmatters
Thought provoking with all surg one preferred in scrubs and no different if white coat pr not for female surgeons! @jennifersdavids thanks for sending!
